We are pleased to welcome Mr. Pradeep Wagle, Chief of the Human Rights and Economic and Social Issues Section at OHCHR Geneva, as a keynote speaker on "Ensuring Access to Medicines, Vaccines and other Health Products through International Cooperation" at our Medicines Justice conference.

In his own words:

"Health is a human right. When people are not able to access the healthcare they need, especially if this is for reasons of costs, their human rights are violated."

A lawyer and human rights practitioner, Pradeep Wagle has served as Chief of the Human Rights and Economic and Social Issues Section at OHCHR Geneva for over two decades. With extensive United Nations experience across conflict and post-conflict contexts—including Darfur, Afghanistan, Gaza, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Cambodia—he has also held various headquarters roles in Geneva. A qualified lawyer in Nepal and in England and Wales, he holds advanced degrees in human rights and constitutional law from the University of Hong Kong and Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
